We Glorify God
through our works...
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. James 2:17-18
Beginning with Sunday services, parishioners at St. Timothy's are busy doing ministry to the Lord. The ladies of the Altar Guild prepare the altar with freshly washed and ironed linens. Beautiful flowers are arranged and displayed by the Flower Guild. Ushers welcome people into the church, Lectors read Scripture to the congregation, and the Lay Eucharistic Ministers help in serving the Lord's supper during Holy Eucharist. The Choir makes a joyful noise unto the Lord. All these ministries work together to glorify God.
When the lights go dim in the church, the work at St. Timothy's does not stop. The Daughters of the King are busy gathering the altar flowers to take to those who were unable to come to church. The Brotherhood of St. Andrews is always busy doing a variety of in-house and community works.
These are only the ministries that occur within the walls of St. Timothy's. Outreach ministries beyond the walls can be found at St. Timothy's as well.
There's work to be done and St. Timothy's is busy!
