St. Timothy's Church is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana. Our diocese is one of 110 dioceses in the United States and fifteen other countries which make up The Episcopal Church. The Episcopal Church is one of 38 provinces of the worldwide Anglican Communion, the third largest community of Christians in the world, which has more than 70 million members in 160 countries.

History

Saint Timothy's Episcopal Church was founded on January 24, 1959, as a mission church, and it became a parish on February 17, 1968. Our rector is the Rev. Matthew Frick.

Visitors Welcome

Please identify yourself to Father Frick as a visitor and sign our guest book in the narthex of the church. After each of our Eucharists there is a time of fellowship in the Parish Hall, the building directly behind the church.

Worship

The principal act of Christian worship on the Lord's Day (Sunday) is the Holy Eucharist. This service is also known as the Holy Communion, the Divine Liturgy, and the Mass. You are cordially invited to worship with us at our 8:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. Eucharists on Sunday, as well as our 6:00 p.m. Eucharist on Wednesday evenings.

Christian Education

Our time for Christian Education for both children and adults is from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. on Sundays. There is Sunday School for children, and adult classes during this time also.

Wednesday Evenings

On Wednesday evenings, there is a 6:00 p.m. Holy Eucharist in the chapel, directly to the right as you enter the front doors of our church building. Once a month, there is a potluck supper at 6:30 in the Parish Hall behind the church, followed by a Christian Education class.
