Welcome to St. Timothy's Church!
The churches of the Anglican Communion include the Church of England and its daughter churches. Our faith is set forth in the Bible and the two historic creeds of the church: the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed. The worship of The Episcopal Church is set forth in The Book of Common Prayer, which was approved by the General Conventions of 1976 and 1979. Previous Prayer Books of The Episcopal Church were the Prayer Books of 1789, 1892, and 1928.
You are invited to join us for the Holy Eucharist on Sundays at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Nursery service is provided.
On Wednesday evenings we celebrate the Eucharist in the Chapel at 6:00 p.m. We frequently use propers from Holy Women, Holy Men: Celebrating the Saints, which gives prayers and lessons for days celebrating "red-letter" and "black-letter" saints.
St. Timothy's Episcopal Church is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana, which is one of the 110 dioceses of The Episcopal Church in the United States of America. The Episcopal Church is one of the 38 member provinces of the Anglican Communion.
The Anglican Communion is a fellowship within the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church, of those duly constituted dioceses, provinces, and regional churches in communion with the See of Canterbury, upholding and propagating the historic Faith and Order as set forth in the Book of Common Prayer.
The Episcopal Church is the American daughter church of the Church of England. Our worship is set forth in the Book of Common Prayer of 1979. Previous Prayer Books of this church were the Prayer Books of 1789, 1892, and 1928.
